Our Story
Decades of Service
Trust the paving contractors that have been around since 1947. With our problem solving skills and ability to apply our knowledge to the circumstances at a particular site, you can be sure we will create innovative solutions for any unexpected problems and do it right the first time.
In 1945, two men working for the Pennsylvania Highway Department found there was a demand for asphalt paving in the Lehigh Valley. Borrowing and renting equipment, they worked weekends paving driveways and small parking lots. It was not long before they realized they could make much more money working weekends, than they did working all week for the Highway Department.
A partnership was formed between Robert Kuhns and Walter Anthony, and Kuhns undefined Anthony Paving Company was started. Kuhns undefined Anthony's focus has been to provide a high quality-paving product at a reasonable cost. Hard work and effort with a “do it right the first time attitude have become the keys to success. As the company grew, they acquired their own equipment piece by piece, but never became bigger than three single axle dump trucks and the supporting equipment.
Time passed and in 1973, Walter Anthony retired and Robert Kuhns continued to run the operation until his retirement in 1983 when Peter Anthony, Walter's son took over the business. Peter has guided the company through several stages of growth, while continuing to maintain the founders-established discipline for doing the job right.
Today, Kuhns undefined Anthony Paving, provides asphalt paving services for commercial, municipal and residential customers throughout the Lehigh Valley.
We proudly offer our services in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Quackertown, Saucon Valley, Kutztown and New Tripoli.
