KANSAS CITY DOWNTOWN STREETCAR CM/GC

The Herzog joint venture team is building this start-up modern streetcar system in downtown Kansas City. The starter line will include the construction of a vehicle maintenance facility and two miles of embedded track along Main Street connecting Kansas City’s River Market area to Crown Center and Union Station. Work is through the dense urban areas of the Central Business District, the Crossroads Art District, the Power and Light District and interfaces with numerous other businesses, restaurants, art galleries, museums, educational facilities and residential neighborhoods. We will also build 16 stops spaced approximately every two blocks.
