Ray Adamyk founded Spectra Company, headquartered in Pomona, California, 25 years ago. Under his leadership as President and because of his passion for preservation, Spectra Company has grown to become known in the construction industry as the “experts” in historic preservation and the largest preservation specialty contractor in the Western United States, with over 150 employees. Among them, Ray has recruited and managed a team that includes artisans and restoration experts, as well as those educated and experienced in Fine Arts, Preservation Architecture and History.
Ray served on the Board of Trustees for the California Preservation Foundation from 2008 to 2014, while holding memberships in the Association of Preservation Technology International, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Western Association for Art Conservation, in addition to the Los Angeles Conservancy. He is also an AIA LA Affiliate member. As a graduate of Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada Ray was recently inducted as an Alumni of Distinction for my career success and community contributions.
Spectra Company’s historic preservation projects have received recognition from the National Trust, the California State Office of Historic Preservation, California Preservation Foundation, Los Angeles Conservancy, Long Beach Heritage and Pasadena Heritage on projects including the Downtown Women’s Center, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Ennis House in Hollywood, Pantages Theater in Hollywood, Catalina Island Casino in Avalon, the Gamble House in Pasadena, The Villa Riviera in Long Beach and the Lopez Adobe in San Fernando. We have also recently completed restorations work at the Hearst Castle in San Simeon, California.
Completed and active projects include the Downtown Women’s Center, Frank Lloyd Wright's Ennis House in Hollywood, Pantages Theater in Hollywood, Catalina Island Casino in Avalon, the Gamble House in Pasadena, The Villa Riviera in Long Beach, Lopez Adobe in San Fernando and Hoover Dam in Boulder City, Nevada. Mr. Adamyk is a graduate of Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
