Jeff Northrup's Bio
Mr. Northrup is Senior Vice President of Preconstruction at SR Construction. He brings over 25 years of progressive Design/Build and Design/Assist experience to SR, specifically in the hospitality, healthcare, and commercial office markets. Jeff offers insights and expertise to both the private and federal government sectors. In addition to the day to day management of various internal resources within the organization, he assists the executive team, and the owner, in providing strategic direction to all facets of the organization. He excels at forming, leading, and managing specialized teams during the preconstruction process. Jeff is recognized as a vital member of the SR executive team and has a proven track record of managing consultants, contractors, internal company resources, design and project schedules, exceeding client expectations, and providing an enjoyable project delivery for every client.
Jeff provides senior-level leadership to the internal operations of SR Construction. He is responsible for the direction for all preconstruction activities, marketing, and business development efforts, estimating functions, subcontractor development, and provides input on all personnel decisions made by the executive team.
Jerry Smedley's Bio
Mr. Smedley is Chief Financial Officer at SR. He possesses over 34 years of financial operations and management experience in the construction industry. His acquired strengths extend in the areas of accounting, management, and finance. Jerry serves SR Construction well in his position as Chief Financial Officer; he instills financial discipline and assists in performing ongoing economic analysis of the corporate business plan and works closely with corporate management to forecast the best way possible to guarantee the future of the company. He is instrumental in upholding company values and philosophies at all times.
Jerry manages all financial operations, cash flow, financial systems and profitability for the company. He is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of SR’s company budget and operating controls and prepares financial statements following GAAP accounting principles. He further initiates and preserves relationships with outside institutions such as banks, insurance companies, required accounting and legal firms when necessary. Other commitments include making profitability analysis on investments, analysis of capital assets acquisitions and Real Estate development.
Scott Loughridge's Bio
Mr. Loughridge has 44 years of progressive Design-Build and CMAR experience consisting of over 1200 projects that span the southwest. Scott established SR Construction in 1991 with the vision of creating a Design-Build firm entirely dedicated to client satisfaction. With a passion for ensuring each client a positive journey, he is committed to continual improvement and remaining a premier design-build constructor. As a seasoned industry leader, Scott continues to demonstrate SR’s dedication to building upon the firm’s 27-year history of construction experience in healthcare, commercial, hospitality, retail, warehouse, parks, and churches.
Scott is proud of his growing team of LEAN Construction professionals and SR’s ability to help improve the construction industry through LEAN principals. He was among the first in Nevada to acquire the latest Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) designation offered by the American Hospital Association (AHA) and has encouraged members of his team to achieve the CHC designation as well. CHC is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the critical field of healthcare construction. Scott and his team of American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) certified experts, bring the required knowledge, experience, and understanding of the many facets of acute healthcare design and construction to our healthcare clients. Responsible for the Company’s overall strategic and long-range planning, Scott also contributes his time and expertise to design and pre-construction on SR projects.
Operations
Bret Loughridge's Bio
In his role as Vice President of Operations, Mr. Loughridge leads SR’s highly qualified team through all phases of construction on projects ranging up to $165 million in the healthcare, hospitality and commercial office marketplace. He consistently meets the clients’ needs exemplifying SR’s operational goals and philosophies. Bret provides oversight and direction of project management, field operations, and all office staff. He ensures that all resources of the company are managed and coordinated efficiently and professionally on all projects, to perform work within the budget and ahead of schedule. Bret also guides project staff and managers from project pre-construction through to completion. He develops and monitors performance targets for projects and team so that the quality, safety, budget, and schedule objectives are met.
His teams continually receive accolades from project stakeholders, consultants, and team members, completing projects on time and within budget, delivering an enjoyable journey. From his past roles in Project Management, Bret remains intricately involved in the design, preconstruction, bid management, construction and postconstruction phases of projects. He is involved in budgeting, scheduling and constructability reviews, trade contractor interviews, negotiations, risk management, procurement, and contract awards.
Business Development, Marketing & Sales
Bob Cunningham's Bio
Mr. Cunningham brings a great deal of experience and knowledge to SR Construction with more than 19 years of sales management experience and 34 years of progressive experience in the business development/sales field. In this role, Bob is responsible for building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions and growing SR Constructions customer base. He is responsible for the overall direction, implementation and execution of SR Construction’s Business Development activities and assists various departments and personnel to deliver on the SR Built Process and strive for 100% customer satisfaction throughout the entire process.
Bob is from St. Louis, Missouri and earned his B.S. in Agriculture (Agronomy) from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Throughout his career, he has held positions such as National Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Estimator and Project Manager. Before joining SR Construction, Bob spent 11 years with Robinson Construction and Helitech Civil Construction both as the Business Development Manager. Both companies are located in the St. Louis area. Bob has extensive knowledge of both the General Contractor and Sub Contractor divisions of the Construction industry. Bob has spent much of his construction career in the Commercial and Industrial Processing industries of construction. Bob will give SR the ability to branch out into new territories and divisions of the construction industry.
