Amanda Skillern's Bio
As Vice President Quality, Amanda manages McCarthy’s national quality program and develops and implements new approaches to quality construction. She works closely with the firm’s regional quality directors to drive continuous improvement throughout the company, with a focus on process improvement, training and overall implementation of the quality program. With a decade of experience analyzing and leading quality in construction, energy and other sectors, she uses her leadership, quality management and strategic planning experience to iteratively improve McCarthy’s quality programs and improve outcomes for clients.
Bobby Campbell's Bio
Bobby Campbell serves as the Atlanta market business unit leader for McCarthy’s Southern Region. Prior to assuming this role, Bobby helped transform the firm’s Houston Division into a high-performing $250 million business with an outstanding team culture and focus on client service. He also was an integral part of the growth of our Houston and Dallas preconstruction teams while positioning himself as a valuable client resource as a leader of the National Preconstruction and Estimating Committee. With more than two decades of industry experience, including estimating, Bobby has been involved in nearly $900 million in projects since joining McCarthy and brings a great understanding of collaboration with project stakeholders. A LEED AP BD+C accredited professional, Bobby also is a Registered Professional Engineer.
Doug Audiffred's Bio
Doug is responsible for the accounting, finance and insurance components of McCarthy including cash management, investments, internal audit financial reporting and risk management. Doug has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance, started with McCarthy in 1994 and has served as CFO since 2008. Doug’s community service includes St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf where he serves as finance committee chair and member of their executive committee and board of directors, and also serves on the board of directors of Youth in Need. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Illinois State University.

A long-time Houston construction leader, Jim Stevenson brings more than 35 years of construction industry experience and leadership to his role as role as president of McCarthy’s Houston Division, including experience in many of the firm’s key markets such as healthcare, education and commercial. Jim's diverse experience includes project management, safety, risk management, business transactions, contracts and human resources.
A long-time Associated General Contractors (AGC) Houston supporter, Jim currently is serving on both the Board of Directors and Executive Board. He is also chairman of an important Houston industry initiative called the Construction Career Collaborative (C3), which is developing strategy and implementing criteria to create a sustainable craft workforce.

Joe is responsible for overseeing all McCarthy operations in the Southern Region. With more than 21 years of experience, he began with McCarthy as a project engineer and has held multiple field and leadership positions including project manager and project director. In his previous role as executive vice president operations for the Southern Region, he led management on projects in the healthcare, corporate and municipal market sectors.
An active advocate for the industry and workforce development, he also spends time supporting community organizations including Children’s Health of Dallas. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
John Buescher's Bio
As President for McCarthy's Central Region, John oversees McCarthy operations in 29 states east of the Rockies. With nearly 25 years of experience in the construction industry, he worked his way up at McCarthy from assistant project superintendent to project superintendent, project manager, project director and business unit leader prior to assuming his current role. John is a professional mechanical engineer and also holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. John has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.
Kamecia Mason's Bio
Kamecia Mason serves as McCarthy’s Vice President, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, overseeing the firm’s national internal and external strategy and implementation. Mason works in close collaboration with regional diversity directors across the company and reports directly to CEO Ray Sedey.
With a reputation for leadership within the industry focused on enhancing inclusive cultures and community engagement, Mason joined McCarthy in June 2019 as Director of Diversity and Community Outreach for the McCarthy Southern Region. In this role, she helped McCarthy expand mentoring and outreach efforts, including the establishment of a new McCarthy Capacity Building Program optimizing the core business skills of Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) program participants.
Mason has been recognized by multiple organizations for her commitment to diversity and leadership, including being named to the 2016 “40 under 40” list by the Dallas Business Journal, 2015 Top 50 Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs by D-Mars Magazine, 2014 Luna Women’s Business Advocate of the Year by the Regional Hispanic Contractors Association, and 2013 Advocate of the Year by the Dallas-Fort Worth Minority Supplier Development Council. Mason holds Certified Diversity Executive credentials from the Institute for Diversity.
Kevin Maitland's Bio
Kevin Maitland is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of McCarthy’s national safety program and the firm’s document administration function to maintain all company policies and procedures. He brings more than 30 years total construction experience to his role, 22 of these with McCarthy. Prior to assuming his current position, Maitland served as McCarthy’s Central Region Safety Director, overseeing McCarthy's safety policies, working closely with trade partners, clients and OSHA to ensure safe jobsites, and ensuring procedures were developed and implemented throughout each project in the region.
Matt Lawson's Bio
Matt Lawson is responsible for McCarthy legal affairs nationwide. Working with the rest of the McCarthy Legal Department, his responsibilities include legal risk management, coordination of claims resolution, and developing contracting approaches/procedures and field/administrative procedures. Matt began with McCarthy as Region counsel and then associate general counsel prior to assuming his current position as senior vice president/general counsel.

As Vice President in Houston, Preston Hodges leads business development and client service efforts in the region. He joined McCarthy as a Project Manager, moving up to Senior Project Manager before being named Project Director in 2016. During this time, Preston was instrumental in launching the McCarthy Specialized Solutions Group in 2014, serving the specific project needs of the Texas Medical Center and surrounding institutions.
In addition to his responsibilities with McCarthy, Preston is an active member of the AGC of Houston, AGC Construction Futures Committee, American Society of Healthcare Engineers, American Hospital Association, served on the AGC Construction Leadership Council Board and is currently serving on the Champions for Children Texas Children’s Cancer Center board. Volunteer projects include working with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Texas Children’s Hospital and the American Heart Association. Preston is a licensed Certified Healthcare Constructor and holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate.
Ray Sedey's Bio
Ray Sedey currently serves as McCarthy chairman and chief executive officer. He joined McCarthy in 2000 as a project engineer and moved through a variety of core operations and leadership positions prior to assuming his current role in 2020. Throughout his career, Ray has taken on new challenges, positively impacting client relationships and business results, and creating strategies to drive change and position McCarthy for long-term success.
Passionate about the workforce of the future, Ray serves as the executive sponsor for McCarthy’s national craft initiative, ensuring that McCarthy builds the foundation to attract, hire, develop and engage the next generation of craft professionals. He is also an active instructor and mentor in McCarthy’s leadership development program and advocate for diversity in the industry, with a focus on encouraging and supporting women in construction careers.
Scott Wittkop's Bio
Scott Wittkop currently serves as the corporate president and chief operating officer for McCarthy, overseeing all operations for the builder's regions and affiliates. In addition to construction operations, he is responsible for all corporate functions including developing new market areas, overseeing employee training, human resources, information technology, risk management, corporate communications and enhancing safety and quality programs.
Scott joined McCarthy as a project engineer in 1986. He has spent the last 26 years moving up through the ranks of the organization, relocating for the company nine times to manage projects around the Central Region. He most recently served as president of the McCarthy Central Region prior to assuming his current role.
Stefanie Becker's Bio
With more than 30 years of professional industry experience, Stefanie is a registered Architect and a DBIA-certified, award-winning leader that specializes in large, intricate projects built with collaborative delivery methods. As Vice President of Integrated Design Delivery, Stefanie builds and leads McCarthy’s project teams throughout the design phase and into construction. Her passion for bringing a creative approach to all parts of the project process results in deeply collaborative, thoughtful leadership for project teams, design firms, and non-profit boards.
Stefanie has successfully developed and maintained client relationships, pursued and won several high-profile commissions, and managed large, highly technical projects that were long-term, complex endeavors. A skilled facilitator, she brings a collaborative spirit and organizational savvy, as well as an ability to keep complex processes moving forward, even when faced with enormous challenges. Stefanie thrives in developing relationships and connecting the professional community.
Tony Church's Bio
With nearly 25 years of development and construction experience, Tony helps oversee McCarthy’s education market in Southern California to ensure effective execution and strong client relationships. He also is responsible for enhancing and supporting new and emerging markets in the region, including solar, water and McCarthy’s Specialized Solutions group. During his career, Tony has served as a project superintendent, project director, division manager, project manager, regional executive, director of preconstruction. He continues to play a key role in pursuing opportunities that focus on creating an exceptional client experience and challenges for our partners. He holds a Bachelor of Science in construction engineering management from Oregon State University.

Al Carroll's Bio
Alan Carroll is an Executive Vice President for the firm’s Southern California Region, overseeing McCarthy’s Parking Structure Business Unit in the region. Under his guidance, McCarthy has become the leading parking structure builder in the state, delivering parking solutions for healthcare, commercial, education and government clients.
With nearly 40 years of construction industry experience, Al has spent more than 26 of these with McCarthy, beginning his career as a Preconstruction Director and moving up to his current position. An expert in both traditional general contracting and design-build project delivery, he understands the unique challenges of parking construction projects and brings this expertise to bear on every project.
Alec Banta's Bio
Alec Banta serves as the Senior Vice President and Business Unit Leader of the McCarthy Northern Pacific Region’s San Jose office. He oversees the progress of client projects and team operations to thoroughly integrate McCarthy’s various departments, including preconstruction, design management, scheduling, accounting, safety, quality control, and risk management to ensure immediate and long-term success for all key stakeholders over a project’s lifetime.
Bob Betz's Bio
With nearly 25 years of construction industry experience, Robert Betz joined McCarthy in 1994, serving in various leadership roles for the firm’s Southern California Region. In his position as executive vice president, Bob is responsible for establishing strong relationships with clients and partners in the San Diego region, along with overseeing the overall operations of McCarthy’s San Diego office.
Bob has played an integral role in the successful completion of a variety of large-scale McCarthy construction projects in San Diego and Orange counties. He has also been instrumental in establishing McCarthy among the top green builders in the region and helped lead the region's use of leading technology on jobsites. He holds certificates of Construction Technology, OSHA 500 Construction Safety, and OSHA 501 General Industry Safety from the University of California, San Diego.
Eric Dickey's Bio
Eric Dickey serves as the Senior Vice President and Unit Leader of the McCarthy Northern Pacific Region’s San Francisco office. He oversees project progress and operations to thoroughly integrate McCarthy’s various teams to achieve client goals, including preconstruction, design management, scheduling, accounting, safety, quality control, and risk management to ensure immediate and long-term success for all key stakeholders through the project life cycle. joining McCarthy in 2002, Eric has supported more than $1 billion of biotechnology and healthcare construction projects in the Bay Area that continue to drive innovation in their industries. He is a member of the San Francisco Chapter of ISPE as well as U.S. Green Building Council.
Erik Chessmore's Bio
Erik Chessmore oversees operations for McCarthy in the Los Angeles area. With more than 17 years of experience, Erik has led the charge on some of the region’s largest and most challenging healthcare projects, including St. John’s Tower, Torrance Memorial Tower and Loma Linda University Medical Center. Erik’s ensures success for clients and project stakeholders through his intense focus on exceptional client experiences, passion for building high-performing teams and perseverance in the face of challenges. He has held a number of field and leadership positions, including serving as a project executive prior to his current role.

Josh Davis's Bio

Josh Davis is responsible for building and maintaining strong strategic relationships with clients and industry partners in the marine and industrial space in McCarthy’s Southern Region. Josh began with McCarthy as a project engineer and served as an assistant project superintendent where he gained a variety of field experience in the aviation, healthcare and fine art market sectors. He also served on the project engineer peer leadership group before assuming his current role. He is a LEED Green Associate and an active member of the Associated General Contractors Houston Construction Leadership Council, along with serving on the McCarthy Partnership for Women committee for the Southern Region. Josh is also a team leader at a teen mentoring program located in Houston’s historic Third Ward. Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science from Texas A&M University.
