Scope Of Work
The Katherine E. Franco Center for Learning Resources was a two-story design/build project totaling 24,660 square feet. The new building was completed on an occupied campus. The new facility provides an impressive entrance to the campus. The 1,000 squarefoot open lobby space, which is a two-story volume, offers natural light for the beautiful displays of art provided by both professional artists and students. The 6,500-square-foot library contains a main reading room, three study rooms, a Special Collections Room, a distance learning lab, a reading room, Professional Collections Room, Library Production Center, Periodicals area, and a Librarian’s office. The facility also includes various functional spaces such as student club rooms, student activities center, offices, a conference room, a faculty lounge and a reception area.
