Scope Of Work
Boyd Jones has become a trusted partner of Red Oak Community School District through the southwest Iowa district’s master planning process. Facilities upgrades at the district’s junior-senior high school include 30,000 SF of new additions, renovations to the entire 90,000 SF high school facility, and about 10,000 SF of renovations in the district’s STEAM center that resulted in a new culinary arts lab with a commercial kitchen for FCS instruction and two new science labs. The new facility features new commons areas, a new competition gymnasium and kitchen, new middle school locker rooms in the lower level, an auditorium renovation, restroom upgrades, modernization of classrooms, an elevator for ADA compliance, and new mechanical and fire-suppression systems.
We also completed a 6,500 SF addition to Red Oak’s Inman Primary School to add classrooms; we also installed a fire suppression system throughout the 65,000 SF building. An addition at the high school addressed academic and activity needs, as well as ADA compliance issues.
