After earning a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management (Dean’s List Spring 1998) from the UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA, LAS VEGAS, Michael started working with a local GC and Developer who built commercial, single family and multi-family developments all over town. Starting with framing and then superintendent duties on light commercial work while attending UNLV, he was promoted to Assistant Project Manager, then gradually over the course of a few years, became a Project Manager with them until they closed their doors in 2004, at which point he joined staff at B&H Construction Inc. and has been with them since.
Being OSHA Certified as well as proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Primavera, and Expedition enables Michael to manage daily operations for multiple projects including budgets, schedules, subcontractors, work scopes, contracts, permits and bond releases.
- Manage daily operations for multiple projects and ensure supervision and subcontractors are meeting time and quality restraints.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor proposals, write contracts and work scopes.
- Maintain and manage project budgets.
- Create project schedules, update and manage through project completion.
- Review and process project submittals, requests for information and supplemental instructions.
- Provide knowledgeable solutions for daily project conflicts in coordination and installations.
- Create progress billings for owners and review second and third tier invoices for accuracy.
- Provide value engineering services during pre-project design review phases for design-build clients.
