Scope Of Work
Ashland Technical College is a 47,880 square foot, single-story, steel framed, and masonry-walled building in the East Park Regional Industrial Park in Ashland, Kentucky.
The facility includes classrooms, shop space, administrative offices, computer labs, a library, conference rooms, restrooms, student gathering areas, utility spaces, and mechanical mezzanines.
Site work included all undercutting, grading, engineered fill, landscaping, sodding, seeding, plantings, outdoor lighting, subsurface and overhead utility services, roadways, walks, parking lots, site drainage, sanitary sewers and building storm drainage systems overpreviously dynamically compacted earth.
The structural system included steel frame structure on concrete footings, slab-on-grade, concrete footings to support non-load bearing concrete masonry walls, steel bar joists, and a metal deck roof framing system.
Major exterior skin materials included cast stone units, brick veneer, metal canopies,aluminum storefront with insulated glazing, curved standing seam metal roofing, and lowsloped roofs with modified bitumen roofing.
