Mr. Kaub assumes overall responsibility for the leadership of professional Geotechnical and Engineering services for all GFA contracts as Principal-in-Charge. Mr. Kaub serves in the capacity of Executive Liaison to company clients. He is a graduate of Indiana University (White Star Endowment Scholarship Recipient) with a B.S. in Geology; is a licensed Florida Professional Geologist; and is co-founder of GFA International, Inc. Since co-founding GFA International, Inc. in 1988, Mr. Kaub has been instrumental in guiding the organization from six employees at its inception to over 75 in four offices. His vision has led to the creation of three sister companies: American Vibracore Services, specializing in retrieving undisturbed samples in marine environments to evaluate sub-bottom sediments; Florida Mold Consultants, which performs all phases of indoor air quality for homeowners, property owners, property managers, facilities managers, government municipalities, builders and contractors; and Forensic Engineers and Consultants, an engineering investigation organization offering in-depth analysis and expert opinion for construction related failure issues.
Mr. Kaub's leadership of GFA is apparent: he has been personally influential in guiding the company's recent growth. In 1998, GFA International, Inc. was promoted by the South Florida Business Journal as small business of the year. Since 2005, the company has consistently been ranked as one of the largest engineering organizations in south Florida by the same publication. Most recently, GFA was a recipient of the McGraw Hill Construction / Dodge and Associated Builders and Contractors, "Construction Industry Business of the Year" (2007) and has developed the complimentary services lines of "Green Building Inspections" and CEI services for state Department of Transportation projects.

His work has involved solving foundation and earth structure problems, conducting subsurface and subaqueous soil investigations, conducting hydrogeological studies and investigations and other earth science problems through the application of sound theoretical concepts and a practical knowledge of earth materials and hydrogeological systems.
Prior to founding GFA International, Inc., Mr. Kaub held the position of Senior Geologist with Coastal Planning & Engineering, Inc., a coastal engineering firm that provides consulting services in the general areas of coastal engineering, coastal planning, coastal/marine geology, coastal surveying (geomatics), environmental science, and regulatory permitting. CPE is one of the country's most experienced coastal engineering firms that engineer shore protection projects. The company has extensive experience with beach nourishment, coastal inlets, navigation projects, numerical modeling of coastal processes, marine geophysical and geotechnical investigations, hydrographic surveys, environmental studies and permitting, and beach and inlet management plans. CPE also designed marinas, docks, and boat ramps. In this position, Mr. Kaub was responsible for coordination of geotechnical field operations including performing beach and hydrographic surveys; bathymetric surveys; seismic studies (sub-bottom); side scan sonar studies; magnetometer surveys; environmental monitoring; jet probe investigations; marine geophysics and vibracore investigations; marine hydrology; water quality analysis; coastal inlet studies; environmental impact mitigation; impact assessment and evaluation; sub-bottom profiling; beach restoration; and erosion control design.
