Scope Of Work
Kohl’s Department Stores is one of the largest discount department store chains in the U.S. Their continued growth resulted in a large expansion to open many new stores in various locations throughout NY and NJ.
Tectonic worked with Vision General Construction, Inc. to provide surveying support during the construction of nine Kohl’s Department Stores and one Distribution Center. This consisted of verifying surveys of existing features, layout of building control lines, foundations, and site features such as parking areas and drainage structures. As-built surveys were prepared after construction for submittal to the municipalities for approval.
Tectonic also provided special inspections and materials testing in addition to geotechnical and construction support services for 11 Kohl’s Department Stores as well as the Distribution Center located in Mamakating, NY.
