Sven Syvertsen has over 40 years experience in the field of industrial electricians. Sven started as an apprentice in 1976 at Newburgh Electric Motor Service in Newburgh, NY where he became proficient in most facets of motor repair, installation, and application. In December of 1979, Sven took a position as an electrician at Double R Electric in Newburgh, NY. Sven then moved to another company VAW of America Inc in Ellenville, NY where he received his Class A Industrial Electrician's license, Sven spent the next four years improving all skills associated with an industrial electrician including: installation, troubleshooting, & modification of production equipment, induction furnaces, high pressure boilers, combustion controls, electrical blueprint drawing and interpretation, overhead crane controls, transformer & switch gear care to 69,000 volts. In 1985, Sven became the plant electrician for The Monroe Cable Company in Middletown, NY, here Sven learned all aspects of how a business is run and maintained and quickly moved up to become the plant engineer for the company. In 1997, Drive and Controls Systems was started by Sven out of his home while continuing to work at The Monroe Cable Company. In 2003 Drive and Control Systems was renamed Electric Incorporated and located in a new facility at 140 Mill Street, Newburgh, NY 12550.
