Sonny Perry has worked in the construction industry for the majority of his life.  He holds 4 U.S. Patents associated with his scaffold locking systems.  He currently also has 1 U.S. Patent Pending associated with a safety locking device for interior scaffolding which has been OSHA accepted.  Perry’s work career has involved all aspects of construction activities from initial planning through closeout.

Although Sonny turned 86 years old in 2015, he continues to work full-time running day to day operations of Sunco Construction as well as works as purchasing agent for Sunco.  He also serves as Sunco’s problem solving “think tank” on tasks that would seem impossible to most.

Sunco Construction Co., Inc. (2014-Present)

Jason's previous experience working at Spatial Data Integrations, Inc. includes acting as GIS Senior Project Specialist and Senior Project Manager respectively for over a decade. Jason graduated with honors from Ball State University where he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. Jason is a vital part of Sunco’s Estimating Team.

Sunco Construction Co. Inc. (2007-present)

Kegahn Hopwood earned his B.S. degree in Construction Engineering Management Technology from IUPUI.  He currently has a 30 hour OSHA certification. He is responsible for estimating and securing contracts for Sunco’s large projects.

His most recent accomplishment was overseeing the project management for a 74,000 Sq. Ft. contract on a concrete tilt up Warehouse/Office/Training Facility in less than 6 months.

Sunco Construction Co. Inc. (2015-present)

Jason is the newest member of the Sunco Team.  He comes to us with excellent project management and computer skills.  Jason graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.  As Project Manager, he is the communication/administration link between the Customer, Sunco and the Sub-contractors.  We look forward to introducing Jason to you on your next project.

Melissa worked 16 years for a government resale business where she began working in the warehouse at a young age.  Through the years, she worked her way up to the office, accounting department and eventually sales.  She comes to us with a wide variety of office, business, computer, and customer service skills.  Here at Sunco, Melissa is able to use those same skills as she manages our front office.

Bryant Hopwood received his start in construction in the Carpenters Union, and has since managed all aspects of construction associated with projects including commercial healthcare facilities, industrial warehouses, office spaces, and a subcontractor on multi-million dollar HVAC renovations for a number of school corporations.  He was a job superintendent on the Indianapolis International Airport Midfield Project ceiling contract.  Hopwood studied civil engineering with an emphasis on construction at IUPUI.

Bryant oversees all of our field work from to new residential construction to our large commercial projects.

Joni has worked in the construction industry most of her career.  In the last  20 years of her career, she was instrumental in all aspects of the  development of 3 subdivisions including business start up, land acquisition,  infrastructure, building phase and closing documents.  Her transition to  Sunco over the last several years has found her combining the commercial side of  the existing Sunco with her residential experience from the past.
