Since graduating from Midwestern State University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management and Finance, Mr. Egerton has been actively involved in the construction industry. During his career, he has been President of the Multi- Family Division of the Dallas Home & Apartment Builders and also served on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Home & Apartment Builders.
Mr. Egerton's hands-on type management and quality product has gained him an outstanding reputation in the multi-family construction arena that enabled him to start his own company in 1994, Stanford Construction, Inc.
From 1972 until 1982, Mr. Egerton was associated with Renco, Ltd., where he was responsible for all phases of their real estate construction, development, management, and leasing. Also, he was responsible for over 1,200 apartment units, several developments of raw land, and over 500,000 sq. ft. of office / warehouse development and construction.
From 1982 to 1991, he was employed as a Senior Project Manager for Trammell Crow Residential and Senior Project Manager of The Cadence Group (formerly the Chasewood Company, an affiliate of Trammell Crow). At Trammell Crow Residential, he was directly responsible for construction of multi-family projects totaling more than 3,500 units. While at The Cadence Group, Mr. Egerton was responsible for bottom line performance on multi-family projects in California, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia.
In 1991, prior to starting Stanford Construction, Mr. Egerton, along with a former partner of Trammell Crow Residential, started Meridian Contractors, Inc., a general contracting company for multi-family projects and extended stay hotels in various cities throughout the United States.
