OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:
~Masonry Repair and Restoration
Masonry restoration is the art of bringing an existing masonry structure back to its original condition and/or form. The primary techniques utilized in masonry restoration are chemical cleaning, rebuilding, replacement and/or tuckpointing. Restoration includes projects such as tuckpointing a chimney to restoring the entire terra cotta facade on a hundred-year-old building
~Building Surveys & Leak Inspection
This includes one of our estimators to come out to your building and perform a survey of the current status of your building. This also includes finding out where the building may be leaking from. In most cases we may have to perform a water test. This includes setting up a spray bar and letting the water run on the areas where we believe the leak is coming from.
~Caulking (Windows, Doors, Brick Control Jts, Masonry Details)
Caulking is used at a building exterior to provide a weather tight seal to any open joints where any air or moisture can access the building. On old buildings the existing caulk joints may have to be cut out and removed before the new caulk joint is installed. Caulk helps extend the life of a building by protecting water from entering the building.
~Pointing ( Brick, Block, Stone)
Repointing is the process of renewing the pointing (the external part of mortar joints) in masonry construction. Over time, weathering and decay cause voids in the joints between masonry units (usually bricks), allowing the undesirable entrance of water.
~Exterior Facade Cleaning
This is the process where a restoration cleaning agent is brushed on to the facade with a brush. It is then removed by using a power washer to make sure all of the restoration cleaning agent is removed from the facade. This is performed without the cleaning agent after a building has been re-pointed.
~Historic Facade Restoration
To recover the original state of the historical structure while maintaining the historical value. Maintenance and rehabilitation of walls and facades call for a thorough understanding of deterioration causing forces, knowledge of building material properties, up-to-date inspection tools and methods along with a solid command of renovation and repair techniques.
~Exterior Masonry Coatings
Elastomeric coatings is an above grade exterior coating suitable for many surfaces such as brick, split-faced block, precast concrete, EIFS, and stucco. When water infiltrates into a building envelope system due to failed mortar joints, spalled bricks or small cracks and crazing, the application of an elastomeric coating is often a more cost-effective alternative to other waterproofing methods. The application of elastomeric coating solves many problems and provides a watertight seal, making the substrate impervious to water
~Concrete Repairs/ Balcony/Deck Repairs/Restoration
Moisture and thermal movement can spall concrete, corrode reinforcing rods and destroy the structural integrity of Concrete, balconies and parking decks. Effective repair procedures usually draw from a variety of repair materials such as mortars having performance properties designed for specific applications. Each class of materials delivers a level of performance and protection as part of the overall repair strategy
~Garage Repairs/ Expansion Joints
Traffic rated expansion joint systems create a watertight membrane/nosing system for parking decks and stadiums. Most systems installed for vehicular traffic use a gland expansion joint system that is installed into a preformed concrete notch or block-out incorporating an elastomeric nosing material. Along with this gland type joint, there are many other joints such as compression seals, preformed compressible joint fillers and fire-rated joint assemblies.
~Deck Coatings
Vehicular traffic-bearing coating systems are designed to protect reinforced concrete parking structures, stadiums or plazas where moisture intrusion cannot be tolerated. They provide a seamless, durable, skid-resistant “membrane” on the concrete, preventing the ingress of moisture and chloride that lead to premature deterioration of concrete and reinforcing steel. These coatings can be used on new construction or to refurbish existing reinforced concrete structures.
