Scope Of Work
Orion performed asbestos abatement of 300,000 square feet of insulation throughout the entire ceiling plenum of the cadet cafeteria. The plenum is 26 feet above the floor with a perforated false "floor". Orion constructed OSHA compliant platforms and lifelines in the plenum to perform the work. Because this facility is the only such facility for the 7,000 cadets to have meals 3 times per day, Orion performed this work while the facility was fully occupied. The project was a prevailing wage project.
