Scope Of Work
Graycor Construction Company finished a complete renovation of the restaurant (cafeteria) at Westbrook Corporate Center in Westchester, Ill. The new 10,000-square-foot space, “The Bistro,” has an attached bar, “The Bistro After Dark.” The cafeteria style restaurant has multiple food stations, a self service salad bar, drink stations, and a private dining/conference room with an operable partition for privacy and sound proofing. There are three kitchen areas and a main dishwashing area.
Originally two separate spaces, Graycor demolished both areas to construct the large restaurant. Graycor coordinated with the owner’s food service equipment contractor and their furniture vendor.
Work was performed in a live environment. Noise and dust were controlled throughout the project to minimize impact to the operating center. Graycor worked a combination of night and day shifts during the heavy demolition phase to meet the fast track schedule. Despite a delay in permit issuance and last minute additions to the project scope for signage, the project was completed on time with little to no affect on the surrounding tenants.
