Scope Of Work
This striking three-story glass building with masonry pilasters and natural stone base enabled the St. Louis region’s largest credit union to consolidate administrative and call center operations under one roof. Its entrance is marked by an imposing three-story barrel vault finished in First Community Credit Union’s signature blue. The glass curtainwall fronting I-64 features an eye-catching slanted, two-story radius glass unit.
Inside, the contemporary, two-story lobby features a “floating” stairwell, a natural stone floor and accents of stainless steel, light-tone woods and decorative plaster. The aluminum-clad ceiling is curved to mimic the look of the exterior barrel vault. Brinkmann Constructors’ innovative “value engineering” saved the owner more than $340,000 in construction costs through solutions ranging from steel modifications to alternative lighting and finish materials that achieved the desired look at a lower cost.
