Andy McDonell's Bio
Andy McDonell is vice president of the Kansas City office and has been with Brinkmann Constructors for almost 20 years. In his role, Andy is responsible for all aspects of the performance and the day-to-day operations of the Kansas City office. Andy’s 30 years of experiences as both an owner’s representative and a general contractor allow him to better appreciate the importance of client advocacy, a Brinkmann Core Value. This includes setting strategic initiatives and execution of our company wide goals and objectives. He works directly with clients to ensure that their projects are given the attention that they deserve while safeguarding that it will be delivered on time and on budget.
Andy received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri University of Science & Technology). He is LEED certified for building design and construction.
Andy is involved in the Downtown Council of Kansas City, and the Kansas City chapters of CCIM and SIOR. He is also professionally affiliated with the St. Louis Minority Business Council and the St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers.
Brian Satterthwaite's Bio
Brian leads all day-to-day business operations and corporate strategic planning for Brinkmann Constructors. He has a knack for bringing innovative, hands-on guidance to every we undertake. A member of the firm’s ownership since 2006, Brian is committed to upholding “The Brinkmann Way” to maintain the firm’s strong reputation and the valuable relationships forged by the firm since 1984. He has directed and managed a multitude of construction projects across the Midwest, ranging from large-scale retail, healthcare, and commercial projects to luxury living, data center and industrial projects.
Brian graduated in 1989 from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now known as Missouri University of Science & Technology) with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Missouri. In addition to his work at Brinkmann, he actively participates in Young Presidents’ Organization, Junior Achievement, and Ronald McDonald House Charities. Professionally, he is active in the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of St. Louis.
Matt Ladd's Bio
Matt Ladd is vice president of Brinkmann Constructors, leading the firm’s Denver, Colorado office. He oversees operations, client relations, business development, and strategic planning. A creative, insightful leader, he offers vast experience leading companies through strategic planning, implementation, and management activities.
Matt joined Brinkmann in 2015 after leading a national design-build contracting organization as president for over 10 years. He has also served as president of a professional procurement and multifamily real estate consulting business. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
Matt is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Concrete Institute, and the Aurora, Colorado Economic Development Council. He currently serves on two construction related boards: the Construction Industry advisory Board at the University of Nebraska, and the Construction Advisory Board at the University of Colorado in Boulder. He is philanthropically involved in Ronald McDonald House, the MS Society, Habitat for Humanity, and March of Dimes. St. Louis Business Journal named him one of St. Louis' sup and coming 40 under 40 years old and one of St. Louis’ Most Influential Individuals in the construction industry.
Tom Oberle 's Bio
Tom Oberle is executive vice president of Brinkmann Constructors. He provides oversight of all business development and preconstruction activities for projects throughout North America. With more than 25 years of construction experience, he is a valued mentor to employees and a trusted advocate for clients. Tom started with Brinkmann as a project engineer and has advanced through the ranks to the role of executive vice president.
Tom received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla (now known as Missouri University of Science & Technology). He has managed the construction of numerous large projects including retail, office, industrial, senior living, and multifamily facilities.
Tom is a board member for the Special Education Foundation, and also enjoys coaching youth sports. He was previously involved with Junior Achievement, Sack Homelessness for St. Patrick’s Center and Valle High School Alumni Association.

Lucas Rottler's Bio
Lucas Rottler is a director of preconstruction at Brinkmann Constructors, where he is responsible for the day-to-day management of the earliest stages of a project. From scheduling to estimating, value engineering analysis, constructability review studies, subcontractor bid engagement, and more, Lucas and his staff consider important details before construction begins. With a focused mindset and an engineering background, he first joined Brinkmann in 2008 working in operations roles as a project engineer and then as a project manager prior to his current director position.
Lucas received a dual degree in civil and architectural engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology. He became a LEED Accredited Professional one year later.
Lucas is based in Brinkmann’s Denver office and has completed projects across a wide range of markets, including industrial, retail, senior living, multifamily, and healthcare.
Matt Funk's Bio
Matt Funk joined Brinkmann Constructors in 2007 immediately after graduating college. He managed numerous multimillion-dollar projects and was promoted in 2015. As director of preconstruction, Matt oversees the preconstruction process including estimating, bidding, and development of design/build GMPs for projects in the St. Louis market, as well as throughout the country. A strategic planner, he ensures the planning phase incorporates considerations such as operational planning, scheduling, budgeting, and constructability. His team enacts smart plans to achieve successful project completion, starting from day one.
Matt received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla (now known as Missouri University of Science & Technology). He is a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design + Construction and has completed OSHA training for safety. He is also certified by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Contractor Quality Control Manager.
At Brinkmann, Matt is a member of BECAUSE, the Brinkmann Community Involvement Committee. Out of the office, he is actively involved in Junior Achievement and the Design-Build Institute of America.

Brett Goodman's Bio
Brett Goodman is a project director at Brinkmann Constructors. He is a valued team member with unique insight into project planning, design, and execution. He oversees preconstruction and construction phases and has the unique ability to balance both long- and short-term project needs. Brett coordinates day-to-day activities in the field while also monitoring overall progress, cost, and quality. His 25 years of experience have molded him into a smart manager with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Brett received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now known as Missouri University of Science & Technology). He has performed safety training in OSHA Silica Dust Regulations.
He has led the construction of hospitals, senior living and student housing facilities across the nation, all of which were valued in the multimillions of dollars.
Dan Feagans's Bio
Dan Feagans is a project director at Brinkmann Constructors with nearly two decades of construction management experience. He leads planning meetings amongst internal teams to design and execute successful projects, taking a close look at quality, scheduling, and cost management. Dan has managed construction projects ranging from senior living facilities to multifamily developments, medical centers, educational structures, retail stores, office buildings, and more. This diverse experience lends extraordinary value to clients throughout the preconstruction and construction phases.
Dan received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla (now known as Missouri University of Science & Technology). He is a LEED Accredited Professional, has undergone extensive OSHA safety training, and is ICC 2012 certified.
Ethan Harris's Bio
Ethan Harris is Brinkmann’s dedicated safety manager. He is a knowledgeable and ambitious individual who is always in the know when it comes to federal, state, and local safety regulations. Ethan is an advocate for employee safety in all Brinkmann operations, ensuring team members are educated on relevant policies and supporting them through any obstacles to efficiency. He is a diligent record-keeper and frequent communicator among project teams and subcontractors.
Beyond his safety expertise, Ethan is also skilled in framing, concrete work, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Jeff Vierling's Bio
Jeff Vierling is a director of field operations at Brinkmann Constructors. A highly collaborative and approachable manager, he works directly with the project superintendents that manage day-to-day on-site logistics. After entering the industry in 1992 as a general laborer, Jeff continued to chase his passion for construction over the years, officially joining Brinkmann in 1998 and receiving his promotion to director of field operations in 2014.
Jeff received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Southwest Missouri State University. He has completed multiple safety training programs through OSHA.
Kendrick Lathum's Bio
Kendrick Lathum joined Brinkmann Constructors as an intern in 2003 and, after several promotions, was named project director in 2014. He is responsible for all operational planning activities, working with both internal teams and project owners on estimating, scheduling, value engineering, and more. He is a true client partner and team leader, ensuring all projects meet the highest quality standards.
Kendrick received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla (now known as Missouri University of Science & Technology). He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Missouri and a LEED Accredited Professional. He is also a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers.
Mike Quinlan's Bio
Mike Quinlan is director of field operations in Denver. He is responsible for overseeing project teams including all aspects of site work, infrastructure and building construction employing more than 25 years of experience in commercial field supervision. He consistently evaluates processes and finds cost reduction opportunities that provide added value to clients.
In the field, Mike manages the teams of superintendents and engineers helping them maintain safety, professionalism, integrity, and customer satisfaction during every project phase.
Mike has completed multiple training programs, including the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program, OSHA Silica Dust Regulations Training, and Stormwater Professional Training. He is also First Aid and CPR certified.
He is a Colorado native and oversees projects for Brinkmann's western market. With his “Own It, Live It, Love It” philosophy Mike leads Brinkmann’s teams to overall success and completion of all sites.
Mike Duehren's Bio
Mike Duehren is a project director at Brinkmann Constructors with more than a decade of experience in the construction industry. He first worked for Brinkmann as a project engineer from 2004 to 2008 before relocating to the Las Vegas area to work on multimillion-dollar projects. He found his way back to Brinkmann in 2013 and was awarded several promotions. As project director, Mike is responsible for all operational planning activities and is equal parts client advocate and team mentor.
Mike received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla (now known as Missouri University of Science & Technology) with a Construction emphasis.
He is a LEED Accredited Professional, CPR Certified, and has undertaken multiple OSHA safety training programs.
Ted Hoog's Bio
Ted Hoog is vice president of operations at Brinkmann Constructors. He is an innovative leader with more than 20 years of experience in design, coordination, and construction. He works directly with owners to provide advice and value management and is also a trusted leader of the internal team, guiding staff through estimation, scheduling, value engineering, constructability/feasibility, and cost management.
Ted received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri University of Science & Technology). He has completed OSHA training and is a LEED Accredited Professional in building design and construction.
He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Knights of Columbus, and the Corporate Development Council. He also serves as a Junior Achievement Facilitator and serves as the President of the St. Alban Roe Soccer Association.

Tom Kooiman's Bio
Tom Kooiman is a director of business development for Brinkmann Constructors in the firm’s Denver office. With more than 30 years of regional, national, and international business development experience, he has been a top performer throughout his career. He joined Brinkmann in 2011, focusing on relationship development in a multitude of markets in the Denver region. Before entering the construction industry, Tom managed and trained tactical sales teams for engineering and manufacturing services.
Tom received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. He serves on the board of directors for NAIOP and is actively involved with ULI, SIOR and multiple city economic development teams.
Finance & Accounting
Jennifer Funk's Bio
Jennifer Funk is the director of finance at Brinkmann Constructors. She joined Brinkmann in 2000 and has over twenty years of experience in the construction industry. She oversees accounting and finance for more than $300 million in annual company revenue and has extensive experience turning financial data into actionable insights for the company. Jennifer is also a member of Brinkmann’s executive team, participating in strategic planning and development with a future-focused attitude. She has an eye for detail and a passion for efficiency.
Jennifer graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting. She is involved in the National Association of Women in Construction, Association of the United States Army, and Construction Financial Management Association. She also sits on the board of directors of Nurses for Newborns.
She is a team player with an insights-backed approach to corporate financial health and has an approachable and positive influence on the Brinkmann team.

Kylie Ayala's Bio
Kylie Ayala is director of human resources at Brinkmann Constructors. A former management trainee for Enterprise Holdings, Kylie built the HR department at Brinkmann from the ground up. Today, she operates one of the industry’s most sought-after internship programs.
Kylie received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Culver-Stockton College. She developed extensive HR and management experience during her time at Enterprise and joined Brinkmann in 2006.
She is a Certified Professional by both the Society for Human Resource Management and the HR Certification Institute.
Tim Myatt's Bio
Tim Myatt serves as safety director at Brinkmann Constructors. Under his watchful eye, all of Brinkmann’s project sites implement safety policies, procedures, and programs that comply with OSHA regulations. He also develops safety training education for on-site and office team members. He works directly with project managers and superintendents to ensure safety is built into every project. He brings a wealth of knowledge when it comes to local, state, and federal regulations.
Tim received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Illinois State University. He also received an Associate of Science with an engineering emphasis from Belleville Area College.
He utilizes extensive continuing education opportunities and serves as a safety trainer through both OSHA and the American Red Cross. He is CPR certified and holds a certificate in Safety Management from the American Society of Safety Engineers.
