Scope Of Work
Yates Construction and our joint venture partner provided design-build services for the medium security institution in Aliceville, Alabama. This project consists of living units and support facilities for a rated capacity of approximately 1,100-1,500 inmates. The approximated 484,376 SF secure compound facility is in a campus setting consisting of several ancillary buildings, a Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR) factory, and three general housing buildings of four levels each. Located outside the secure compound are a central administration building, central plant, firing range, and maintenance buildings. In addition, a minimum security facility Federal Prison Camp with living units and support facilities for an approximate capacity of 256 inmates is also located outside the secure compound.
