Scope Of Work

B&D performed the primary electrical basebuild for URENCO’s Cylinder Receipt and Dispatch Building (CRDB) construction project.  Concurrently, we installed all of the pathways and media to support the IT, voice, data and plant control systems in this building.  The CRDB is one of several integrated building modules designed to manufacture the enriched uranium used to create fuel for U.S. nuclear power plants.  The purpose of this building is to test, store and safely distribute this material.  Inside the CRDB is a bunker building which contains state-of-the-art testing labs, computer systems, workshops, control systems, electrical equipment rooms and criticality warning systems.  URENCO’s CRDB is one of the most advanced facilities of this type in the world.
