Scope Of Work
The goal of the Akron Waterways Renewed! (AWR!) Program is to improve water quality, reduce current and potential flooding problems, and to meet USEPA and OEPA objectives and regulations in compliance with the Clean Water Act. The City’s combined service (CSO) Long Term Control Plan (LTCP), currently estimated at $1.4 Billion, contains projects designed to reduce and eliminate combined sewer overflows to the Cuyahoga River, the Little Cuyahoga River and the Ohio & Erie Canal.
