Scope Of Work
This ODOT LPA/City of Akron project encompasses the decommissioning of SR 59/Akron Innerbelt from Cedar Street to the Main Street/Howard Street intersection. The project will allow for the eventual redevelopment of the Oak Park neighborhood. After completion of the project, Dart and Rand Avenues will become the points of egress into and out of downtown Akron. GSI served as the Construction Manager for the City of Akron as their authorized representative in managing and administering the construction contract. The project requires close coordination of maintenance of traffic with downtown businesses and hospitals. Major elements of the project include:
