Scope Of Work
Big-D Construction was selected to provide exclusive construction management and construction services by the Santa Rosa Rancheria Tachi Indian Tribe to transform the more than 25-year-old bingo hall into The Palace Indian Gaming Center and Hotel near Lemoore, California. The completion of the hotel was a realization of the Tribal Council’s vision for the “Santa Rosa Resort,” making it the new travel destination in California’s Central Valley.
Built in two phases, the first phase more than doubled the existing 127,943-square-foot, three-story casino to nearly 300,000 square feet with a 170,318-square-foot expansion and addition. The newest addition to the casino included 2,000 new slot machines, 26 new game tables, restaurants, retail shops, administrative offices, cocktail lounges, and a 2,000-seat bingo hall.
During the second phase of this project, Big-D Construction built an adjoining 250,000-square-foot, eight-story crescent-shaped hotel featuring 255 rooms, 40 suites, two swimming pools, a fitness center, a piano bar, restaurants, a coffee shop, eight banquet rooms (accommodating up to 300 people), a conference center, a day spa, and a 2,000-seat amphitheater. The oversized rooms average 580 square feet, much larger than the 450-square-foot industry standard. Nineteen of the 40 suites are multi-level and feature jacuzzi tubs, tile entryways, wet bars, and premium furnishings. The facility also includes two 1,365-square-foot suites for VIPs.
Both phases of this project included extensive infrastructure preparation, earthwork, demolition, new utilities, parking lots, fire sprinklers, electrical, and mechanical work.
