Scope Of Work
RCI served as the general contractor for the replacement of an existing wooden bridge on Shaw Bridge Lane just north of Marked Tree, Arkansas. According to locals, this location served as a scene location during the making of the movie, “Painted House”. The actual house used in the movie is located in nearby Lepanto, Arkansas. The bridge had been closed to through traffic for several years, prior to completion of this bridge. This project included a new asphalt pavement road alignment with special embankment at the bridge ends. The bridge has four concrete support bents and steel girders with a concrete deck that spans the Left Hand Chute of Little River. The job was completed and opened to traffic by the fall of 2016 meeting the timeframe outlined by the Poinsett County Road District and the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation District.
