Scope Of Work
The Sorenson USTAR Molecular Biotechnology Building at the University of Utah brings scientific and highly sophisticated innovations to the industry. Layton completed the complex project on time and within budget.
Laboratories, core facilities, faculty offices, symposium and conference rooms, public areas that encourage diversity, vivarium, optical imaging, nanofabrication unit, LEED Gold certification.
The facility houses laboratories, core facilities, faculty offices, symposium and conference rooms and public areas designed to encourage maximum interaction between faculty from diverse disciplines. Core facilities (including a vivarium, optical imaging, small animal imaging and nanofabrication unit) support faculty and serve in some instances as University-wide resources. A 40,000 SF vivarium and imaging facility contains both CT and MRI imaging. Immediately adjacent to the cleanroom, the highly sophisticated imaging facility houses one scanning electron microscope and two transmission electron microscopes.
