Scope Of Work
Opening in 1920, Franklin Hotel was, in its day, a posh venue, hosting high profile civic, social and political events. Sadly though, after suffering years of neglect and abandonment, downtown Kent’s once grand hotel seemed fated for the wrecking ball.
Fortunately, Franklin Hotel’s story didn’t end in destruction. In fact, some say, its best days are ahead as Acorn Corner.
Comprehensive, painstaking interior and exterior historical renovations transformed the dilapidated Hotel Franklin into the fully functional mixed use, Acorn Corner. Consisting of approximately 25,000 square feet, the 1st and 2nd floors are occupied by Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant, offices on the 3rd floor and residential space on the 4th and 5th floors.
We are extremely proud to have been a part of this exciting and rewarding revitalization project.
