Scope Of Work

Mount Dora Christian Academy Science Center needed a facility that would allow them to continue to “educate for life and eternity.” The Mt. Dora Science and Student Center is a 16,000 square foot renovation and addition to the school’s existing science building. Evergreen Construction designed the science center to be a state-of-the-art teaching lab, which added 6,400 square feet for science labs, a student center, and classroom space. This challenging project site on a hillside included remediation of groundwater intrusion, reinforcement of the existing structure, as well as raising the roofline and ceiling heights by three feet. The project was fast-tracked from the beginning of design through construction. The entire design, permitting and construction took 14 months.
