Scope Of Work
Reaching for the Stars. This unique Observatory project coordinated numerous stakeholders and volunteers to create an educational gem within a camp setting. The Craftsman Style building complements the forest setting while the hand-built, high-power telescope reaches for the stars. A custom-designed, roller-track system allows the roof to slide out of the way and the telescope to extend toward the sky for viewing. A covered seating area features a laser-etched black granite wall that displays a map of our solar system. The Observatory enables campers, students and adults throughout the county to expand their horizons.
