Scope Of Work

Howell Construction was the design-builder for the Denver Joint Electrical Apprenticeship Training Center (DJEATC) office renovation project and Path21 was our design partner. DJEATC, sponsored by the Local Union #68 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), decided to renew and expand its current training center in order to better mold the future generations of new electrical apprentices coming into the work force. The project consisted of renovating the existing interior spaces including classrooms and new restrooms, and major rework of the sanitary and fire sprinkler utilities. The exterior façade was overhauled with new windows and a blackened metal screen to modernize the appearance of the building. Howell also built an addition that included classroom space for apprentices and an elevator, bringing the building up to code.
