Joseph Slavik's Bio
J
oe joined Howell in 1995 as Vice President before moving into his current role of President in 2001. He has been instrumental in transforming Howell from a small, family-run business into a market leader in the Advanced Industries, Corporate Interiors, General Commercial, and Healthcare sectors without compromising the values the company was founded on.
During his tenure at Howell, Joe has become well-known for creating construction solutions that integrate with clients’ strategic business objectives. His consultative style has helped Howell form strategic partnerships and long-term alliances with many leading Colorado companies.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He is currently serving as a board member for the Associated General Contractors of Colorado, an active member of the Colorado WPO chapter, and a member of the board of governors for the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation. Joe is also an active contributor with the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver, spending seven years on the associate board prior to serving on the board of directors for the past six years.
When he’s not in the office, Joe enjoys spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks with his family. He also enjoys skiing, hunting, archery, and playing golf.
Roger Smith's Bio
Roger joined the Howell team as an intern in 1999, working his way up through the ranks to his current position as Vice President. With a focus on the Advanced Industries and Corporate Interiors markets, Roger leads preconstruction efforts and provides operational oversight on technical projects to ensure exceptional performance is delivered to every client.
Roger graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering, earned an EIT designation, and is a LEED® Accredited Professional. He is an ICC Class ‘A’ General Contractor and holds licenses for several Colorado front-range municipalities as well.
Roger stays current on market developments by actively participating in several professional organizations, including the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and 7×24 Exchange – Rocky Mountain Chapter.
Roger and his wife, Dawn, spend most of their spare time chasing their three children around with sports and other activities. Roger also enjoys spending time in the Colorado outdoors through hunting, fly fishing, mountain biking, ATVing, skiing, and playing golf.
Todd Berry's Bio
Todd joined the Howell team in 2016 as Vice President. In addition to providing leadership on select projects as project principal, his primary responsibilities include managing preconstruction teams and supporting business development efforts in Howell’s existing Healthcare and General Commercial market sectors. Todd appreciates the principal-led project management that Howell provides to all of their clients.
Todd began his construction career in 1989 as a field engineer after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in construction engineering from Iowa State University. After 24 years with a national design-build firm, Todd moved to Howell Construction to share his experience and deliver on Howell’s brand promise of “Always Great Performance.” In addition to being a LEED® Accredited Professional and a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC), Todd also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University.
Todd resides in Denver with his wife, Pam, and their two daughters. Todd enjoys entertaining and spending time with family and friends. He is also an avid traveler and is constantly planning his next overseas adventure.

Daniel Vickers's Bio
Dan joined Howell Construction in 2011. His responsibilities include construction operations, supporting business development efforts, and providing preconstruction and project management services on select projects. Dan is constantly looking for new ways to enhance Howell’s customer experience for both new and existing clients.
Dan began his construction career in 1985 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Dayton. After 22 years with a national construction firm, Dan joined Howell for the opportunity to be more directly involved in delivering excellence in construction services. Dan has spent the better part of his career in Colorado and is best known for some of the landmark resort projects he built in the Colorado mountains. He is also a registered Professional Engineer.
Dan resides in the Denver foothills with his wife, Noel, and enjoys spending time with their two grown children. In his free time, Dan can either be found under the hood of his muscle car or standing in a Colorado river with a fly rod in his hand.

Andy Stewart's Bio
Andy joined the Howell team as Vice President in 2015. His primary responsibilities include managing the Business Development and Marketing Departments, as well as developing and managing Howell’s annual work plan. In addition to increasing market share in Howell’s existing Corporate Interiors, General Commercial, Advanced Industries, Healthcare, and Public market sectors, he is moving the company into strategic new markets, leveraging the strengths of team members within the company. He also provides leadership on select projects.
Andy began his construction career in 1989 as an officer in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps managing military construction projects. Upon his separation from the Navy in 1994, Andy moved back to Colorado and continued his construction career working as an estimator, project manager, business development manager, and area manager. He achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and is a registered Professional Engineer.
Andy is the president and founding board member of True Impact Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit that cares for orphaned and disadvantaged children in East Africa. In his free time, Andy leads volunteer teams to Africa to build schools and homes for orphans, drill water wells, and provide other infrastructure in support of the care of children. He enjoys world travel and spending time with his wife, Heather, and their adult children.
