Scope Of Work
In February 2014, while in the process of building a bridge over the Brazos River in Waco, Texas a boom lift rolled off the barge into the Brazos River. US Underwater was contracted to recover the aerial lift by Austin Bridge & Road. After first assessing the position of the aerial lift, the diver inspected around the lift body for any loose pieces or tools, closed the side panels and the side hatches. Once the diver was confident all was closed and secure, with no loose objects that would cause entanglements, the diver and personnel agreed the lift plan would be a straight four point lift. Using a crane and implementing the agreed upon safest rigging and lifting plan the aerial lift was brought successfully out of the water.
