Scope Of Work
The CECC encompassed 161,000 square feet on five levels. Building engineers recounted a frustrating seven-year cyclical history of failed repair attempts and ensuing interior damage.
ONeill’s roof experts knew success required an intelligent strategy that was deliberate, organized, and methodical. Their executed strategy Consisted of extensive exploration of the roof, intensive examination of each roof system component, electronic moisture probing, and systematic core sampling.
ONeill Contractors advised the customer that the area of wet insulation needed to be identified and replaced to ensure water would stop leaking into the building. After removing over 2,000 cubic feet of roofing and insulation, portable water pumps were brought in to remove several inches of water accumulated atop the asphalt covered roof deck. New polyisocyanurate insulation, coverboard in low-rise foam adhesive, a self-adhering modified bitumen base sheet, modified bitumen inter-ply membrane, and a fire rated white mineral surfaced modified bitumen cap sheet were applied.
The repair project was completed successfully, on-time, and within budget. Work was performed in compliance with all OSHA standards, and the modified bitumen roofing was installed per NRCA details and by ONeill Contractor’s very own certified CERTA Torch Applicators.
