Scope Of Work
Communications giant Nokia relocated its divisional headquarters to Summit Rancho Bernardo.
Rudolph and Sletten the 200,000-square-foot five-story warm shell building the year prior to beginning the Class A tenant improvement buildout for Nokia. The first floor contains dedicated labs, conference space, full service dining facility, fitness center and a designated customer drop-in facility. The second floor includes a server room with an in-line cooling system and electronic lab space for testing new products in acoustically-treated RF (radio frequency) Chambers. Floors 3-5 are dedicated to high-end office space and conference rooms.
The structure was designed and registered for Silver CS but achieved Gold CS, and the interiors were certified Gold CI. Recycled material incorporated into the building accounted for over one-third of all material used in the project. During construction, waste management practices resulted in the recycling of over 93% of construction waste. The building envelope and mechanical/ electrical systems achieved 17.4% better than Title-24 standards.
