Scope Of Work
Rudolph and Sletten returned to the Pechanga Resort & Casino to build a dramatic 62,000 square foot clubhouse for the resort’s 18-hole golf course called “Journey at Pechanga.”
The three-story clubhouse provides a welcoming beacon to stop, relax and enjoy after an awe-inspiring golfing journey. The Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired clubhouse, designed by Delawie Wilkes Rodriques Barker, provides high-end resort amenities including locker rooms, a golf-pro shop, a restaurant, kitchen facilities, and outdoor patio seating.
Journey at Pechanga’s Clubhouse sheer size is formidable: a massive and towering 62,000 square feet, rising three awe-inspiring levels and sporting a cascading, 30-foot waterfall as a focal point just inside the oversize lobby doors. Nothing was spared and no corners cut in the design of this "centerpiece" of the Journey golf course.
In addition to the well appointed and spacious changing areas, the site includes a large and comfortable patio, a relaxing grille area, an inviting bar, a sumptuous, upscale restaurant and plenty of space for wedding and banquet special events. There are two ancillary buildings which are used for bride and grooms with a grass-covered area for outdoor celebrations.
The exterior elevations of the Golf Clubhouse are natural granite stone, glass window wall systems, plaster on metal studs. The roof is standing seam bright copper. The interiors take on a modern rustic feel using natural granite stone from the Pechanga Indian Reservation, granite floor pavers, and exposed wood beams.
