Scope Of Work
Our work on this project included mainline paving 13.5 mile (221,000 sy of 8” PCCP) of Hwy 385 from Olerichs to the Nebraska State line (SD’s final portion of the Heartland Expressway). Due to the building of new grade alignment the project was paved in two sections 5 miles of SBL & 8.5 of miles of NBL utilizing the existing highway as part of the new 4 lane divided highway. Paving operations went through the town of Olerich making it necessary to maintain local traffic and constructing turn lanes through the township area. After completion, South Dakota’s commitment to the 4 lane divided highway from Rapid City to the Nebraska state line was complete.
