Scope Of Work
A new 73,000 sf building to locate their first US manufacturing facility with an ISO 7 clean room operation for medical device manufacturing. Design partners include McMillan Pazdan Smith, O’Brien/Atkins & Associates, Britt Peters & Associates and NNE Pharmaplan. This fast track project utilized our design-build, open book approach and was kicked off in January 2015 and completed in December, 2015. Critical to this client was value engineering, and our team was able to reduce the project cost by nearly $1,000,000, which the client used for facility upgrades during construction. Our scope also included all process related work including cooling water, contact water, compressed air, and electrical distribution for 14 extrusion and injection molding machines within the clean environment.
Headquartered in Germany, RAUMEDIC manufactures injection molded and extruded polymer components that are used in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. It has approximately 600 employees and is part of the REHAU group, a polymer specialist, employing 18,000 people worldwide.
