Scope Of Work
Howard’s story began in 1967 as the first high school in the state dedicated to the advancement of African American students and continued in 1928 when the school moved to its current location. Howard High School of Technology’s story resides in its rich history. As we approached the renovation of the 13th and Poplar Street campus, EDiS Company was both honored and excited to be a part of that history and executed its preservation with the utmost care. Howard High School’s history is told through an exquisite design demanding preservation; and the scope of work had to incorporate an active campus throughout the project. The objective was to create a modern building equipped with updated building systems within a neo-classical space without sacrificing an inch of aesthetic. Having a long, successful relationship with the New Castle County Vocational-Technical School District, EDiS was ready to take on this intimate project.
