Scope Of Work
The project involved the extension of the existing Type III Hydrant Fueling System to the new Presidential Hanger for Air Force-1.
MEB installed approximately 2,400 LF of 12” lined carbon steel fuel piping to two new hydrant pits on the apron. A new isolation valve vault with a rolling pit cover was installed at the new-to-existing interface point. A new E-stop connection was established linked with the fuel system control panel. Cathodic protection was installed along the pipeline route several high low point pits placed to facilitate system draining venting. The piping was run under an existing roadway that was repaved at the completion of the work.
