Scope Of Work
The waterfront project is a 22,726 SF facility addition that is a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) constructed with a concrete floor slab on piling. The machine shop floor was designed for 1000 PSF the fabrication shop floor was designed for 750 PSF. Both facilities will have a ground grid similar to the existing system in the fabrication shop . The scope includes obtaining PEMB design calculations adequate to design the pile supports, foundation footings, slabs for new building additions systems for fire protection, mechanical, electrical, sidewall column jib cranes, multiple 50 ton bridge crane loadings in both additions. Jib cranes, lathes, cutting machines modular offices bathrooms were installed. Project is being performed during on-going operations with limited shutdowns disturbances. Project is a Design-Build delivery method in which MEB has worked with Owners, designers end use representatives to ensure the building meets the expectations standards required.
