Scope Of Work
This Design/Build contract was awarded under the Commonwealth of Virginia PPEA Guidelines. The expansion upgrade complied with NPDES General Permit limits for Nitrogen Phosphorus discharge while increasing capacity from 0.5 MGD to 1.5 MGD.
The improved plant was designed to support planned residential commercial growth through 2015, facilitate a costeffective future expansion to 3.0 MGD.
The project included the following; new Septage Receiving Station, Headworks, Flow Equalization, 5-Stage Bardenpho Activated Sludge Process, Secondary Clarifiers, Denitrification, Administration Building, Reuse System, SCADA, modifications to the existing Influent Pump Station, Sludge Storage Sludge Dewatering Equipment.
