The Arbor Construction Group LLC

Arbor was started by Brian Macuga in 2009. He is originally from Michigan, but grew up in Texas, Connecticut, California, and New Mexico and has an appreciation for our country’s different architectural styles. Brian has his Bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan and has 27 years in the industry. In his spare time, Brian spends time with his family, enjoys seeing live music, fishing and working with his hands.

Our Purchasing Manager, Johnny Propst, has been in the construction industry for 22 years. He is originally from Zionsville, and attended Wilkes Community College BLET. Johnny enjoys riding motorcycles, fishing and spending time with family, he has been with Arbor Construction since 2012.

Jyl Penrod is originally from Utah where she studied Interior Design and Technical Sales at Weber State University.  She has been in the home building and renovation industry since 2006.  Jyl enjoys hiking, yoga, concerts and sporting events.  She likes to check out new restaurants around Charlotte.

Francisco Banda is a Texas Native, and a Texas Tech Graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science in Architecture. He gained most of his experience working as Project Manager in the residential industry in the state of South Carolina. This helped him gain experience in home building design that comes from drawing over twenty high-end custom homes. Outside of work he enjoys a good cup of coffee, chess, photography, fitness and health, and spending time with family and friends.

Molly Macuga is a rising sophomore at Charlotte Catholic where she plays tennis and lacrosse.  In her free time she likes to read, bake and workout.

Our Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Jeff Jernigan, is originally from the Dakotas but has been in Charlotte since 2013.  He started his career in Infrastructure  Engineering but has been focusing on land development and residential construction for the last 10 years.  Jeff’s hobbies include golf, motocross and hockey, and he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and son.

Tish Macuga is co-owner and works on Marketing for Arbor.  Tish is originally from Michigan, where she attended the University of Michigan.  Tish and Brian have five children, who are very active in their schools and in sports.  Playing tennis is Tish’s favorite thing to do in her spare time.  She is an active volunteer in the schools and at St Gabriel Catholic Church.

Cathy Foster is Arbor’s comptroller.  She is a Charlotte native with 24 years financial experience in the manufacturing industry.  In her free time Cathy enjoys hiking, gardening and birding.
