Today, the asset base totals to over 2.3 million square feet and the company expects to add over one million square feet in 2018. This throttle of activity from each person creates a velocity of energy that enables the team to deliver great sites, while consistently meeting deadlines, and exceeding clients’ expectations. Karen is influenced by her father, David Hutton, Sr., who lived a fearless work ethic and the humility of her mother, Jean-Marie, shaped Karen’s values and her determination. HUTTON was awarded Chattanooga’s Corporate Philanthropist of the Year in 2014 and Karen was named one of 2015’s Top Ten Influential Business Leaders to Impact Chattanooga, inducted into UTC’s Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 2016, and awarded Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy’s first ever Founders Leadership Award in 2017.

A 1985 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Mike has 30 years of General Contracting experience. His career began with top ENR firms Stolte, Inc. of Los Angeles, CA and Bencor Corporation of Chattanooga, TN, where he managed numerous hospital, healthcare, office, shopping center, grocery, and retail projects. In 1992 Mike founded Berry Construction Company, Inc. where he continues to manage the day to day operations. In addition to the construction business, Mike serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for First Volunteer Bank, and sits on the Board of Directors of The Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, and the Chattanooga Metropolitan YMCA (Past Chairman).

Tyler returns to his roots on the sale side of business as Director of Dispositions at HUTTON having worked in brokerage, dispositions, acquisitions, and development. Tyler has a broad footing in commercial real estate and brings over 13 years of experience to the team. Tyler graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Finance, has earned the CCIM designation and holds brokerage s in two states. His passion for commercial real estate, unrelenting drive to find and make deals combined with an eye for numbers is the foundation to build and lead a team at HUTTON.

A 1985 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Don has 30 years of General Contracting experience. His career began with top ENR firms McDevitt and Street of Charlotte, NC and RW Allen of Augusta, GA where he managed and estimated numerous healthcare, school, church and large scale concrete treatment facilities. Since joining Berry Construction in 2003, Don has led the estimating department and focused on pre-construction services from bid solicitation through contract negotiation.

A 1998 graduate of Montana State University, Jamie is an ACI Certified Flatwork Finisher with over 18 years of onsite and project management experience in industrial and commercial construction, with an emphasis in precision concrete and “super-flat” floors. Jamie is OSHA 30 hour, OSHA/MSHA 40 Hour and HAZWOPER Certified. He has successfully built projects for notable companies such as: Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, CVS, Aldi, Bi-Lo, Food Lion, Marshall’s, AutoZone, O’Reilly, Family Dollar, Church’s Chicken, Dominos, Subway, Avery Dennison, K-Mart, Riser Foods, IBM, Wyeth Nutritionals, Unilever/Ben and Jerry’s, and Hannaford Grocery. Since joining Berry Construction Company, Inc. in 2013, Jamie has focused on project management of projects exceeding 20,000 square feet and now leads a team of 2 Project Managers, 2 Assistant Project Managers and 1 Contract Administrator.

A 1980 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Tom has 35 years of construction superintendent and project management experience working with national clients such as: AutoZone, Dollar General, Dollar General Market Grocery, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, PPG Paint, Burger King, Krystal and Sonic. Since joining Berry Construction Company, Inc. in 1996, Tom has focused on project management of projects less than 20,000 square feet and now leads a team of 4 Project Managers and 1 Contract Administrator.

As a Development Partner at HUTTON, Kevin and his teammate, Jamey Flegal, are focused on multi-tenant and shopping center ground up and redevelopment opportunities. Kevin’s passion for the business is evident in the tenacity and vision he possesses which enable him to oversee a multitude of projects through their full life cycle. joining HUTTON in 2015, Kevin and his team have successfully delivered over 600,000 SF of ground up retail developments as well as effectively negotiated numerous - partnerships. Kevin has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A., with a dual concentration in Real Estate Finance and Real Estate Development, from the University of Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He has over a decade of experience in the commercial real estate industry and brings a well-rounded approach to the development business. Kevin’s financial acumen, analytical mindset and client focus, as well as his unwavering work ethic, make him a key member of the HUTTON Team.
