Scope Of Work

One   more anticipated    central NJ  has come to fruition with  ground breaking   new, $411 million University Medical Center  Princeton at Plainsboro Hospital. This 160 acre  care campus is now on its way to becoming one   ’s premier  care facilities. Careful planning was paid to incorporating evidence-based design  best  practices to reduce stress, promote healing,  improve  overall patient experience.

Vigilant consideration was given to  decision to start anew versus completing renovations to their current    downtown Princeton neighborhood.  resulting new 636,000 sq foot, seven story  will house an emergency department, operating suites,  237 single patient rooms.  campus will also include a new medical  , an education center, an  efficient cogeneration   a 32 acre public park. Designed into  base  plan is future growth potential for up to 500,000 sq foot  future expansion  integration  new technologies.

Binsky & Snyder’s scope   for this  is  mechanical plant infrastructure.  main supply  chilled water  steam is produced   on- cogeneration  then distributed through the 18” chilled water mains  10” high pressure steam mains through-out  .  steam is reduced down at various points in   to provide  necessary low pressure steam  hot water to equipment.   also requires a secondary chilled water system to feed select equipment for a 24 hr operation.
