Scope Of Work
Helios Construction Services is currently performing Construction Management Services for all capital construction projects for the Waukegan Public Library. Helios provides complete preconstruction services for all current and future work, which contemplates an extensive upgrade of the remainder of the library
The projects total over $4.2 M, and work has included roof and skylight replacement, installation of a new façade, asbestos abatement, new ceiling finishes, upgraded lighting and extensive MEP replacement.
Together with the library staff, Helios helped secure several energy efficiency grants, including the Illinois State Library Live & Learn Construction Grant, as well as grants from the Illinois Clean Energy Foundation, North Shore Gas Rebate Program and Commonwealth Edison.
The library has remained open throughout construction, requiring detailed phasing plans and close coordination with Library Staff
