Scope Of Work
Conceived of and funded through the nonprofit organization Heritage Services, Do Space is a 26,000 SF ultra-modern digital incubator that includes a community technology library, a digital workshop and an innovation playground filled with opportunities to learn, grow, explore and create.
The first floor of the facility is open to the public, providing access to technology and software that is often too expensive for individual families to own. A coffee shop serves as an informal touchdown zone for patrons of the library. The Makerspace connects theoretical learning to product development. Housing tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines along with the computer software and hardware to operate the tools, the Makerspace allows ideas to be taken from conception to completion.
The second floor offers specialized programs that advance concepts presented on the first level. Here, the Metropolitan Community College will be leading innovative educational programs and classes.
