Scope Of Work
The King County Aquatic Center is one of the largest indoor competitive swimming facilities on the West Coast. Willdan implemented an innovative approach to replace aging systems and reengineer and reconfigure building system operations to increase energy savings. Willdan resolved persistent chloramine and carbon dioxide build-up issues at the pool’s surface, to substantially improve indoor air quality throughout the facility. Willdan also installed a ground-breaking 103 kW solar PV system, comprised of 100% Made-in-Washington panels—the largest array of U.S.-made panels in the state at that time.
