Scope Of Work
Located in the Bronx, NY, the Amalgamated Housing Cooperative is the oldest limited equity housing cooperative in the United States. Willdan performed an ASHRAE Level III investment grade audit of the boiler plant and steam distribution system, which serves an estimated 1,500 apartments across eleven buildings.
The analysis identified 33,236 mmBtu/year in natural gas savings and 2 million kWh in electric savings. Amalgamated Housing decided to pursue our recommendations for boiler and combined heat and power system upgrades.
