Scope Of Work
Pueblo County School District 70 (Pueblo) recently selected Willdan as the design-build lead for facility improvements totaling up to $76 million. These contracts follow a collaborative effort between Pueblo and Willdan to develop a district-wide, 15-year master plan to maintain and update 19 schools and four district buildings. This energy performance contract work was secured in partnership with the Colorado Energy Office, where Willdan installed measures that delivered 1,794,000 kWh in annual savings and improved environmental conditions. . Willdan helped Pueblo secure a BEST grant and a voter-approved bond measure to fund these design-build upgrades. A majority of the funds will go toward major mechanical, electrical, and plumbing improvements, and $6.3 million will be devoted to infection control, COVID-19 mitigation measures, and district-wide security enhancements.
