Just In Construction

In 1983 I was offered a job by a developer to work in the office to answer phones. One thing lead to another and before I knew it I was a construction superintendent and taking Construction night classes at our local college.

My interest in the construction field continued to grow and I wanted to try different aspects in the industry. I started driving a Water Truck (1962 Peter Built) for a local company and did dust control for new construction in track homes. Meanwhile I went to a Real Estate School so I could learn about buying and selling homes. In 1987 I went to work for a great contractor here in the Antelope Valley. This is where I learned construction estimating. For 2 years I estimated damaged homes from Fire, Water and wind. I estimated small projects such as remolds and room additions. I also supervised all construction job sites from start to finish. In 1989 I received a call from well known contractor in North Hollywood California to open an office here in Lancaster and become a partner.

For 13 years I co-owned and fully operated a wonderful company that specialized in Insurance repair work and remodels.

Meanwhile while operating this firm I decided to get my contractors license in 1992 and my Notary license in 1995. After 13 years my partner unfortunately passed away. At that time I was unsure what the next step in my career should be so I decided to write up my resume (which I had never needed to do before). I started making phone calls to all of my accounts to get permission to add them on my resume. The first company I called was Autoclub of California. They offered me a job over the phone and the next thing I knew I was a Property Claims Adjuster. While working as an Adjuster, I received a call from a local Contractor here in the Antelope Valley. I went to work for his company and oversaw and supervised the Insurance division of his Firm. I missed dearly being out in the field. So, in July of 2004 I decided to go out on my own. Now I’m the proud owner of a wonderful and successful company called Just’ In Construction Inc.
